25x zoom lens. Large 1-inch sensor. Phase detect autofocus. 24fps Raw capture with tracking. Dust- and splash-resistant design. Touch LCD and EVF. Top info LCD. Wi-Fi. 4K video and 1080p slow-motion.

Very expensive. No in-lens neutral density filter. Hood blocks flash at wide angles. Can't start a video when still buffer is in use.
The Sony RX10 IV is the ultimate 1" bridge camera. Its optically stabilized 24-600mm equiv. lens and 20MP sensor combine for outstanding image quality. And it is the first and only camera in its class with phase detect autofocus, which, when coupled with its lightning quick 24 fps maximum burst...

Sports and action photographers wishing to zoom while also maintaining focus on a moving subject.
Bird photography is my passion. For the past 10 years I have been carrying my Canon w/500mm lens, gimbal head and tripod (28 lbs.) in the field but age has caught up with me. The RX10 IV produces unbelievably excellent images, even at 600mm (particularly flying birds) and can be hand-held while the...
Great camera! Csn be fully automatic or keep the enthusiasts busy with many features and creative functions. Absolutely great pictures with a most reliable focusing system. Worth the extra money.

Price, bigger than most point and shoot.
I have been into pro cameras since 2007. I have had a few Canon DSLR's and a Nikon D7100. I was doing intense research for a newer camera purchase for the past 6 months. Finally I discovered the RX10 mk4 was released and I compared it intensely to the Panasonic Lumix 2500.
If you are in need of one device that shoots superior video and stills (without grabbing a backpack full of gear), this is it! The 24mm to 600mm lens is a phenomenal combination and the on-board stabilization is a total winner.I upgraded from the RX10 III.
I won't belabor all of the things you may be able to read in trade press or other reviewers, but I will say that with limited use I am blown away by the AF system - it really works even on birds in flight at 600mm and 24fps. Only a few of a 50 shot sequence were not razor sharp.
I like this camera, especially its very long zoom range and fast focus speed. It is somewhat different from most other digital cameras in the way the menu is organized and operates so there has been a challenging learning curve for me.
I've now had the camera a couple of months ago and am gradually uncovering its extensive features and capabilities. I'm sure that it will take me another couple of months to become familiar with it.
I bought this camera after watching many videos on Youtube showing the amazing 4K quality and digital stills. I was looking for a all in one travel camera that can take pics and videos and this is perfect.
