I haven't used it extensively yet, but I am more elderly now and my breathing was showing up in the audio when I shot video on my A1. I bought this microphone to fix it. I set it to Shotgun, Noise Canceling and -10 db Attenuation (where it was set at unboxing).
No wires, no Battery, no fuss, beautiful sound without needing to worry about settings if I don't have time. This mic is a dream to use for run-and-gun. I can easily switch to pickup sound directionally or surround. I can't recommend it enough.
