Sony ECM-LV1 Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm TRS Connector

I've used Rode in the past and wanted something cheaper, but still good quality. At nearly half the price of the Rode Lavs this has been amazing. It's also a stereo mic, and the quality is incredible for the price. Bought it on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Would recommend.

I have been using this in a sony Walkman professional WM-D6C to record social events with Dolby B encoding to eliminate tape hiss. The Walkman has been calibrated to the blanks used in testing.

I ended up buying two of these, to use with the Rode Wireless Go system. It was for a wedding and I wanted something that looked smart that could be worn. Threaded it through the shirt and the transmitter part was in the guy's pocket.

The line is quite short. The camera has to be within 1.5m if it's directly plugged into it. Unless you have a wireless receiver that you can plug this into, it might be quite tricky.

Recording Quality is good, on some devices right channel was 23.09dB lower for some reason (wiring?)

Nice and useful wired stereo. I bought for Sony ZV1 and it works well.. rejects room and is sensitive to lower the input volume to suit. Can't comment on outside use but was hoping i will get some stereo field but not sure how it is wired - is it summed to mono ? Idk.

Returned eventually as it was not needed however appeared very well built, great audio quality when recording, handy little clip for attachment, quite sightly and good looking.

This Sony Lav mic is made of a plastic material but the quality is very good. The texture of the cable feels like low-quality plastic. The overall sound quality is 75% out of 100% which is good enough to be used in a professional environment.
