Given Sony’s relatively restricted range of full-frame E-mount lenses, the FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS appears to be a welcome addition if you’re after a high quality zoom lens with a versatile focal range and a relatively large, constant aperture. And the specs do translate to excellent image quality.
Like others, I take serious issue with the quality of the mount. It easily broke off. Sony does not repair this. They also charge $135 to tell you they won't repair it. At least other manufacturers modify their standard mounts for these heavier setups. I'm beyond angry with Sony.
absolutely good lense
As a single lens solution for video and photographic use then you should definitely have this on your short list. Yes, the lens is big and heavy, but it takes gorgeous pictures and even better video. Focus is reliable especially if using centre area mode as I always do.
Really good lens but really expensive.
Use this lens with the original A7S, Atomos Shogun and zoom controller by Fotga and it always amazes me each time I see the final videos. 4K video is very sharp and the slow steady zooms are amazing.
Beautiful color, clarity, and range! The zoom slider is a nice feature for wedding videographers like me.
