Battery life could be better, Mic quality is passable, but no headset replacement
I use gamepads to control my robotic vehicles and had been using PS4s. However they have become increasingly expensive as I believe that production has stopped. So I decided to have a look at the PS5 and found that it did indeed meet my expectations. It has performed as flawlessly as my PS4.
PlayStation controllers have always been less ergonomic than the Xbox controller. They are headed in the right direction with this somewhat. Preference still on stick layoutThe adaptive triggers seem like a gimmick, but are actually very cool.
I don't like the ridge on the handles where they intersect with the body of the controller and after only a few hours of use, the R2 button feels like there's an interference of some kind so it grinds and clicks when I press it.
Bought to use with my PC, with games like rocket league. It is definitely a step up in quality from a PS4 or XBOX1 controller. Works via Bluetooth, and/or usb. The port on the controller is a USB-C
I thought the size and shape of the controller over the PS4 configuration was going to be an issue but it isn't. The fit is solid in my hands, the extra width in the palm grips is actually nicer and less stressful on my hands.
Great purchase only wish for the current price of ps5 it came with 2 controllers!
Everything about this controller is great. Adaptive trigger pull is always fun. Add that to full on haptics, l.e.d.s, and the additional speaker making gaming just that much more submersible.
Bought this in December to go along with the one controller that comes with the PS5. Sturdy, quality, just the right size and it's amazing what you can do with this newest model.
Totally different experience than the dualshock 4 on the ps4. It creates a whole different level of game play. The haptic feedback was weird at first cause it feels so much different than the old school rumble and the adaptive triggers have a great feel to it and are just fun to use when they are...
The rubber on the joysticks wear out fast. I game about moderately or less and it was gone within about 6 months. Other than that solid structure and uqick reaction time.
