When it comes to Sony home stereo components & Flat screen TV's I have always been pleased with my purchases. The center speaker I recently purchased was a great addition to my home theater system. Great price for a quality product.. Sound quality is excellent.
This is a decent center channel speaker for the price. It would be perfect if it had the larger woofers from the SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers. I have to turn the center channel volume up +3 - +5 to prevent this being drowned out by the front SS-CS3 speakers.
Great quality speaker, perfect size for my cabinet.
Clean and clear as possible. I truly love this speaker.The price is off the charts for such quality. Speakers 3 or 4 times as much aren't gonna touch it!
Adds needed depth and presence to any home theater system. Went from an almost lifelong 2.0 system, to 2.1. After adding this center channel, I'm angry I hadn't added it sooner. Great clarity for speech/dialogue. Crisp highs, warm and inviting mid-range. 5 stars!
I was looking for a center speaker that would fit in the limited space that I had. Not only did the Sony speaker fit it sounds really great.
Sony has been a favorite brand for electronics for many years and is synonymous with quality. This product is everything you'd expect from the Sony brand and is a perfect addition to your home T.V./Video system. Using a center speaker makes the T.V. viewing experience more realistic and full-bodied.
I bought to replace the cheap center stock speaker that came w the Sony surround sound receiver set. The sound is like in a move theater.. and the dialogue is super clear.
Mixed 5 channel system. Primaries are Hsu Research bookshelf speakers. I'm happy with the match. One caution: rear bass port. Don't place it too close to a wall.
This has added some sophistication to my cheap "home theatre system" in my spare bedroom, which is really an office/fitness-room/den, not a bedroom. I paired this with an older Aiwa receiver and matching set of 2 Aiwa speakers from the mid-90's when Aiwa still made good, affordable stereo systems.
