Sony BRAVIA XR A80L 83" 4K HDR Smart OLED TV (2023)

This TV has fantastic picture quality. I compared side by side with back lit LEDs and this just blows them away. The picture quality does come with a significant price increase above the back lit TVs however. I have read the TV can be washed out in rooms with lots of incoming sunlight.

I bought it for the picture quality and sound (were told Sony sets are better suited for TV and movies, Samsung for gaming) and to steam TV. I knew the picture was dark going in, but with multiple adjustments (the manual is worthless) I got it to a better brightness.

I've had this new 83" for about 2 weeks, and it blew my prior 77" away, and the previous one was great! The blackest blacks, no distortion with fast motion, and essentially theatre-like in a normal living room!

I watch both over the air local programming as well as Peacock and Paramount streaming.Picture is amazing on the Streaming, depending on what I'm watching. I feel the blacks are almost to black, and yes, I have adjusted the various hues, colors,ect. The remote lMO really sucks.

We were deciding between the 75 & 83 inch, so happy we went with the 83”

We use the Sony primarily for movies and are not disappointed. The colors are vivid and images very sharp. The first time you watch it you think oh my gosh this is awesome. We installed surround sound speakers so the combination works great.

Really love this TV because it has an incredible picture especially when viewing 4K!!I am very happy with this purchase!

Love the picture, but wish the remote was backlit like my other Sony.

It’s a great TV as long as it doesn’t break. I had it 2 months and it stopped working and Sony replaced it with a new one.

Sony always a great tv. Used to be a Samsung guy, actually have some and Phillips too but you can't beat Sony's "true black".
