I’ve owned this T.V. For three years. I have a lot of time on it. The picture quality is great and the sound is okay. However, this TV reboots all the time. It drives me insane. Right in the middle of a movie it reboots. Most of my viewing is through the blue ray player and my surround sound system.
Great TV, just light kinks in the Google android software over the year that I have had it. It appears to be less and less as the progression of software upgrades occur.
Picture quality is good if you ignore the small dark patch in each corner. I don't notice the patches while watching movies/tv unless I'm looking for it, but it's more noticeable when casting computer screens where there is often a uniform background color.
Best 4K for the price and Sports look really good on this panel. After comparing 3 to 4 segments on various 4K screens this is what we had to settle on. Upgraded to Android 6.0.1 recently. Good performance in WiFi AC and Bluetooth controlling is fairly easy. Netflix and Prime run flawless.
I don't have traditional cable and use this TV primarily with Online Streaming Services that have built-in apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc) so I can't speak to how well it works with cable.
Would not buy again. After 18 months it just keeps restarting and never turns on. Now spent 6 hours with multiple phone calls and try to get it fixed if it can. What happened to the good old days when it just worked for 10 years?
AVOID THIS TV. I bought this TV in October 2016. During that time the TV was good, and gave me no troubles. However 5/4/2018, (about 18 months later,) I come home from work to find the LED flashing red. I google it, and it seems to be a common issue.
I bought this TV hoping that it would at least last 5 years, here I am 1.5 years later and the TV is bricked because of an Andriod update that I did not ask for. I do not use the apps or the smart features, I just wanted to use it for the TV capabilities and now due to features, I did not use I...
Don't update the software, don't connect to the internet and this is a good TV so far...but also, don't expect a user manual that explains how things work because it does not seem to exist.
Have had one for almost a year now and I regret buying it. Visually, it's a pretty good tv. In fact the only reason I'm buying another tv so soon is to get HDR and a display with more "pop" to it's colors (the display is sharp and up-scales well, but the colors aren't the best compared to those I've...
