Sony XBR-X800E-Series 55"-Class HDR UHD Smart LED TV

The 43-inch Sony XBR-43X800E is a great smart TV paired with a 4k display panel that's just pretty good. It has its faults, from inaccurate color to frustrating black levels, along with an awkward connection panel and middling sound from the built-in speakers.

This TV is a great little 4K TV. I purchased it for my bedroom for use with my PS4 Pro and for media playback. The picture is great. With a little bit of fiddling with settings it is very vivid (I recommend turning up the Brightness as the default looks a bit washed out on the lower settings).

Seems that all of the current LCD flat screen televisions don't have the same warm picture as the older LCD projection televisions based on what I saw in the showroom at Abt.

It's almost perfect, but a few hours into using the television, I noticed two dead pixels on the television. Hopefully it fixes itself over time. I recommended this tv to my dad. He doesn't notice it, but it's so glaring to me.

Given the specs, I thought the 800E would be a great TV. What a mistake. Highlights are blown out, blacks are crushed (no detail in blacks), whites are noticeably grey, and contrast is low. No amount of picture adjusting could correct this.
