It may look almost identical to the three-year-old A77, but the latest Mark II version has a lot of new tricks up its sleeve that take Sony's prosumer interchangeable lens camera in a more action oriented direction that will particularly appeal to sports and wildlife photographers.

This is an upgrade from the SLT-a65 which was a great camera. All i can say is that i'm glad i did. This camera is amazing. When I tell you that I've studied and compared over and over again between Nikon, Canon and Sony.........

I bought the sony in order to replace my canon 60d. I was satisfied with my canon, but this model was not fast enough in HD quality. The sony is a lot faster and i can take multiple shots without waiting for the camera to process the image, as long as you have the right SD card.

I have six DSLRs. The A77ii probably isn't the best in any of the traditional categories. But it's the camera I choose most often, and the one I would keep if I could only have one. It's the only camera I own that I would say is just a joy to shoot with. On top of that it's a screaming deal at $900.

I upgraded from a65 and love it

I updated my camera from 350a to this and I am totally in love. The quality is so much better. There is a big improvement with shooting indoors versus my old equipment. It's taking time to get used to it but so far I love it and would purchase it again.
