After much research and shooting other sights such as the Eotech, I chose the - TA31RCOM4CP for my LMT. Getting a little older, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so enjoy the magnification aspect vs. a straight holographic sight. Getting on target is very quick with the chevron.
I am an avid shooter and have experience with many types of firearms and optics. My main type of shooting is Varmint hunting and range time. I purchased my TA01NSN from SWFA in 2003. I have it mounted on a Bushmaster AR-15 with a 16 inch barrel. It is a flat top variation.
I really like this item I think that Trijicon made a smart move when the added the windage compensator's to the bullet drop compensator. Overall I think the product is very well designed.
For medium range shooting, the ACOG is the cat's a**. Something that caught me by surprise: The reticle does NOT include the silhouette (I have the TA31F). All you will see are the range graduations and the chevron. Believe the hype. Add the RMR and this scope gets a 5/5.
In daylight this looks black as soon as the scope crosses a black area the reticle changes to tritium illuminated red. While this is a very precise reticle I strongly prefer one with the fiber optic that this model does not have.
I have never served in the military.... but I have hunted in North Mississippi for 30 years and this is by far the best rifle sight ive ever owned. Buy this sight you will not be sorry. I particularly like the red horseshoe. its so bright and clear.
This scope is exactly as desrcibed. I mounted it on my Colt M4.
This is not my first trijicon,i like it
very precise , up to 500 yards bulls eye without any difficulty . Top of the line optic , the best in my collection . I have it mounted on a Colt M4 Carbine 5.56MM caliber Magpul furniture.Never need batteries .
Superb optic crystal clear through lens and accuracy is perfect. Only draw back on this optic is in the dark no illumination except for a faint amber marking! At night this optic is useless for distance shooting unless with night vision.
After 3 deployments I can tell you with confidence that Trijicon is THE optic that Combat Soldiers prefer... It is rugged, sturdy, accurate, and reliable. You don't have to carry extra batteries, because it doesn't use batteries ... The ACOG is the best medium range optic on the market.
This my 3rd ACOG and I will have more...
This is a legit product, not a Trijicon gray market. If you have a history with these you will not be disappointed. Was able to meet every expectation, just zero according to the manual. 100m zero with 62gr ammo.
battlefield tactical, quick target acquisition, would have liked trillium illumination, but it would have cost a lot more.
Seriously? It's a M.F.ing ACOG... you know what's it is going to do and how hardcore it is going to be while doing it. There is no need for me to tell you that it does what it is designed to do because it is a M.F.ing ACOG. Need something to cook your dinner with? Get the M.F.ing ACOg.
