This is such a cool little amp. The clean tone is what you would expect from VOX. Your able to dial in a surprisingly good amount of different tones and settings. The reverb is convincing and sounds decent. The fact that this has tremolo is pretty awesome as well.
I was hoping it would sound like a Vox, but it is more generic. It's a little warmer than a Polytone I once owned but no where near as nice as "real" amps.
Sounded Great right out of the box. I consider this a Great buy. No problems with Workmanship, works and sounds Fantastic. Pretty cool Amplifier. I'm very happy with the Amplifier.
I HAVE A LABOR DAY GIG COMING UP AND I FOUND A NEW USE FOR THIS LITTLE JEWEL. IT WILL ALSO WORK GREAT FOR A SLAVE AMP. I COME OUT OF MY MUSTANG 3 V.2 SEND JACK ON THE EFFECTS LOOP AND RUN A CABLE FROM IT TO THE INPUT JACK ON THE MV50 CLEAN THROUGH A 1X12 CAB TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRUMMER FOR THE...
I waited 2 months for this amp and all I can say is it was worth the wait. Every guitar magazine I subscribe to has done a review of this one lately and they all loved it.I totally agree.
I was looking for something to run at home so I wouldn't need to transport my Mesa head to and from practice. The main problem I have run into with small "lunchbox" amps has been clean headroom. So when I saw the videos and reviews for this I was really excited.
Let's hear it for nano tube tech! This is the gutsiest micro amp I have ever heard. Pristine clear sound that loves every pedal I have put in the front of it. I have had 50 watt full tube amps that didn't have the oomph this little dynamo has and it wasn't near as clean either.
The clean sound on this amp is just what I need. I use the Vox MV50 a little differently than most might , as I think it is fantastic as a preamp. Let me explain: I play mostly jazz box guitars( Herritage , Gibson, etc.) and I like a clean sound that I get from an accoustic amp.
Great wee amp. Sounds great on it's own but also takes pedals well. Attach an 8 ohm speaker and it's loud enough to do small pub gigs no problem. Great tones from clean to heavy crunch, just like it's namesake.
This amp may be a one trick pony, but it does it very well. I was surprised by the big sound out of such a tiny package. The reverb sounds just right for me and at higher gain settings it has a convincing tube crunch.
