A lot of fun at a reasonable price. This is a very good introduction to the enjoyable world of 3D photography. Highly recommended. One important thing - be sure to buy a few pairs of 3D glasses at the same time.

This camera takes anaglyph pictures ONLY. I called Vivitar before ordering and specifically asked if the camera took anaglyph or regular left and right shots to be used in whichever format I wanted to view them in.

The SD card slot would (>95% of the time) report that an inserted card was in protected mode. Same story with multiple cards of various capacities. Picture quality is good, and the price excellent.

Cheap 3D camera and once you get a working one it is OK...had to get mine replaced immediately because the built-in battery wouldn't take a charge, a common problem with these cameras apparently.

I bought this on a whim to play with. Overall, the camera itself is fairly decent quality, save the fact that the battery is internal and cannot be replaced. The 3D effect works somewhat.

They must have gotten the bad-battery problem fixed. I have bought several of these cameras from different suppliers, and all but two...had bad batteries, which was a quality control problem at vivitar. They are wonderfull 3D cameras and I hope they continue to build them.

Ok, the good things first. It takes 3D pictures! Sure, it's only anaglyph, but they're not too bad. The scene really determines if the effect works - I've had some shots look really good, and others very meh. It was also fairly cheap. Now for the bad.

If you want to take 3-D pictures, one option would be to pick up a film-based (35-mm) camera and get some film (print or slide) on the Internet and go to it. One camera is the Loreo 321 35-mm film camera that takes side by side pics you can print out and see via a simple, inexpensive viewer (they...
