I needed this for a complicated restaurant sound chain. After using a wireless transmitter and just dealing with batteries and pairing issues, I decided to run cable through the ceiling from the XLR for the wireless receiver and take XLR all the way to where I played.
I've been using two of these for over a year now as live keyboard mixers. Does exactly what I want, and no more. Two sets of stereo outs makes it easy to offer a simple feed to FOH if needed. No effects needed or wanted. Completely clear and transparent, no sound coloration.
The YAMAHA MG06 is just what I was looking for. All I wanted was a small enough mixer so that I could plug in my guitar+pedals and a pair of headphones. This way I can play my guitar at anytime without disturbing anybody.
It's great and very simple to work.
