IPS glow and low contrast ratio (as expected from this panel technology), Minor LCD inversion artifacts and image retention when testing certain flickering patterns, but not present in real use
The ASUS PA279CRV is good for content creation. It comes factory-calibrated with remarkable accuracy in the sRGB mode, and it has various picture modes for different color spaces, which is ideal for any type of content you work with.

Wide viewing angles., Incredible ergonomics., Bright enough to fight glare., Remarkable accuracy in sRGB mode., Different picture modes for various color spaces.

Low contrast ratio., Highlights don't pop in HDR., Terrible local dimming feature.
Asus's new 4K productivity panel delivers near pro-levels of performance and precision, though its HDR capability is inevitably limited.

Gorgeous 4K IPS panel, Very nicely calibrated, Excellent value for money

Limited HDR support, Slightly plasticky build
Before this monitor, I always used a cheap corporate style monitor because I could never quite justify getting something like this. I tried to get used to the constant hdmi switching between my MacBook and pc, and tried to cable manage all the extras made up of MacBook charging, and hdmi dongles.
I couldn't be happier than I am with this Asus Proart monittor. I'm an artist by profession and I needed "the perfect" monitor for editing photos. The color is excellent - I didn't change a thing. I did brighten it because it comes on the lowest bright setting. it's quick; the size is perfect.
I love this monitor. I have two of them, one on either side of my primary monitor. I use them turned vertically (so they're tall, not wide). They adjust well to this. The stand makes it easy to turn them, and I have them set up opposite ways (one is rotated to the left and one to the right) so that...
I use 3 displays. You can see this model lower left. Above that is a cheap HD Sceptre display just for broadcast preview of my video timeline, Rec709 color. On the right is a 4K Samsung U28E590 for documents. But this ProArt display remains my color grading display and main work area.
I liked that the double C connector cable was included and that the monitor had the C connector jack built right into it. I liked that it was a 27 in monitor much better than my previous 22" Spectre PC monitor. Very good resolution for medical images, CT scans, etc.
I have two of these monitors that I use daily for work as a game developer and absolutely love them. They are not 4k, so when I feel that I really want the 4k experience I use the 22" 4k Dell monitor on my personal rig.
Easy to set up, works great on a Mac. Clean, crisp display that really shows off the 4K resolution well. Asus ProArt has a sterling reputation, and they deserve it. Recommended!
Monitor was easy to set up, has a great picture and color... very sharp images. Documents and pictures are very clear. Extremely satisfied with monitor, so much so that I bought a second one Highly recommend.
Got this on a special deal for $177.00. Since we have another 24" Pro Art (PA247QV), we were expecting the calibrated screen to perform as advertised. We use these mainly for photo sorting and editing and the 1920x1080 resolution is plenty for that purpose.
Overall the display looks amazing and is very color accurate. The 75Hz refresh rate is more than acceptable for gaming as well. The ability to daisy chain to another monitor and use the USB-C port to get video and USB signal to another computer is very helpful for my work setup.
