Amana 29 Inch Gas Dryer with 6.5 cu. ft. Capacity

Have not done many loads yet but when I did, towels & clothes came out dry & it was quick on energy efficient. Love the low heat & energy saver features! Hated the washer that it came with. Am returning that for a Maytag. Excellent Amana Dryer though. :)

I have just been using it for a month or so. So far so good. It's a User friendly, simple machine to use. Perfect for the person that doesn't need all the extra bells and whistles. The only feature I miss that my previous unit had was a light inside the drum.

I bought the dryer after the old one broke down. The new amana was so efficient that I wished I had bought it sooner. It literally takes 1/2 the time to dry a over size load that was washed. I am very pleased with this product. When my washer give out I'm buying Amana washer. I can't wait.

We finally retired our 24 year old Amana dryer last month, and bought almost exactly the same model. It's the simplest one they make, and that's just right for us. So far it's working great. I would like to point out 2 things for the Amana design team: 1 - the old dryer had a light inside.

The machine looks and works great, however the installers left the dryer hose disconnected from the outside vent which I didn’t notice for about 3 days. I kept feeling heat and smelling dryer sheets more than usual then happened to look up and see that the tube was not connected. I fixed it myself.

We had a dryer from the 1980's though quality made finally stopped working. So, we called Ross Appliance and one of the owners recommended this Amana Dryer. And we are so happy with it! Our clothes come out dry and with few wrinkles! The wide dryer door allows for easy access.

It dries my clothes as well as my last dryer. It was the highest rated, least expensive dryer that I saw available. Sometimes it makes growling noises when operating. Sometimes it does not. It made the noise from the beginning but does it less after some use. Sometimes it does, sometimes not at all.

I have now been using my Amana 6.5 cu ft dryer for over a month and must say it has been a terrific addition to my laundry needs. It is very quiet, with numerous timed and selection options. I have several heavy laundered items, such a sweatshirts, blankets and jeans.

After 3-4 wash loads the door would not close unless you slammed it forcefully in addition the gas valve hookup was also of poor quality . When installing there was no way to lock the ball nut while thighting the nut on flexible Line. You get what you pay for I guess but strongly not reccomended!
