“It's still compact, but the new Echo Dot (4th Gen) packs a serious punch at $50.”
The fourth-generation Echo Dot speaker doesn't offer particularly impressive sound quality, but for $50, it's still the best basic gateway to Amazon's Alexa voice assistant.

Only a cosmetic change from previous model, Weak bass
The Echo Dot is a more affordable version of the new Echo with just a few downgrades, like no Zigbee device connection and lesser quality audio speakers. However, it’s a great choice for smart home beginners on a budget looking to spend well under $100.
Rather than rising from your favourite armchair, why not ask Alexa to carry out tasks.

Design isn't as compact, Limited display customisation it the Clock version, Biased towards Amazon services
The fourth-generation Echo Dot is a cute, ball-like redesign that breaks the mould of the traditional puck or pincushion-like speakers. Bought with or without an LED display, the Dot continues to sound better than you’d expect – ideal for small rooms or background listening – and provide all of...

Nothing at this level
I get up to the minute info anytime I need it... also I can turn on and off all my smart devices... including my TV can be controlled by voice... I especially like that I am able to play music through the device to my stereo speakers and throughout the house...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always heard people brag on these echos before and now I can see why. You can ask this questions like you would type on google and it will give you an answer and play music for you. It can tell you jokes, answers and even the weather.
I purchased the 4th Gen with speaker about 3 weeks ago, and it is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. It is great for asking questions related to cooking, conversions, and adding any music that I like to entertain while getting dinner or baking.
Since I bought this I’ve used it everyday. It’s so simple to set up and you can can’t move it to any room in your home.
easy to set up with all my gadgets. sound is the best but it does the job.
The speaker doesn’t always want to work and I have to reset all the time because it just doesn’t work I can be in the room asking Alexa something and it doesn’t hear me but the one in my dinning room will pick it up which is two rooms over.the sound doesn’t always want to work.If all you want is the...
We purchased this to replace our six year old ECHO smart speaker. The quality of this DOT isnt the same. It may be smarter and responds more accurately, the sound quality seems subpar. We loved listening to music through our previous ECHO, this one is mediocre.
This is an awesome addition to our home. It allows more convenience be asking Alexa to help with something as it pops into your mind. Life is hectic and to-do lists are a must. So she really makes life easier. IN EVERY ROOM I HAVE HER HELP!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG I love this Amazon Echo Dot I always wanted one but thought it was too technical but it is easy to connect and I'm not that tech savvy it does so many things it plays my favorite music it tells me what the weather is for the day it even tells...
I Love it..wish I had more smart devices in my home...
