So many options with this solid mixer... a true workhorse. One of the few small/table top mixers with smooth accurate faders, quality preamps and plenty of mic/line/stereo options. Why people overlook this mixer is beyond me! We also have an older model;this new 1002B is even better.
I love this mixer, I have been doing legal video for 15 years and have to use wired mics. This mixer is great for getting out the noise of a/c fan. It is easy to adjust volume levels with the touch of my fingers, I can turn down all or one in a second. I highly recommend it.
Perfect small mixer. 5 XLR mic channels with stereo outs. Effects control for outboard unit. Works great. Easy to understand layout and controls.
Great little mixer. Sounds good and very versatile. I needed more line inputs than mic inputs. Using it for recording.
I know of no other mixer that packs 10 channels with TWO aux busses with SLIDERS no less. I use this in a voice booth, lets me monitor everything in my headphones, while sending a mix minus microphone to the speakers in the booth. It's made work faster and more pleasant.
I bought this for my L1 Bose system because I need a couple more inputs for my live show for bass guitar and Cajun mic. This is compact and easy to use. I was able to use the mono monitor out for my mono Bose and the stereo out straight into a recorder and the stereo channel has our break music...
I use it for jamming outside with my friends, we needed a mixer to connect 3 laptops and guitar - we like jamming outdoor - where there's no electricity available. This is where the battery power comes in handy.
Slight hiss from mixer, not a problem in Live setting. EQs work well.
The Xenyx 1002b is a good, simple mixer that has a lot for its size and price. I chose this mixer over the Mackie Mix12FX because the Xenyx has sliding faders instead of rotary control, and one more XLR input. Both need only a small amount of space.
Using this to mix/record the audio feed from a live panel discussion. For the price and functionality it's fantastic. I'm not much of an audiofile, but I found this product super easy to set up and use. The sliders were the difference maker for me.
