Overall this SkyMaster 15x70 binocular offers serious large aperture light gathering binocular at an affordable price and reasonably lightweight configuration.
SkyMaster 15x70 - General Features: A box with three foam pieces. One for the objective lens, one for the Eyepieces and one for the bracket. The packaging is simple, but really effective. My collimation was spot on when the binos arrived.
There are no words, when you go out and see the night sky youll understand.I read they were heavy. I have little problem holding them for 20 minutes, but if thats a problem they can go on a tripod.I read it was difficult not to shake because of the high magnification and weight.
I recently became involved in astronomy, starting on 10X50 binoculars. I have since acquired 3 telescopes, 76mm, 80mm and 203mm. I use binoculars for quick observing sessions where setting up a telescope would be inconvenient.
Bought it for astronomical purpose. Our telescope, which is lot more powerful has very small field of view and is cumbersome to use. It is hard for me to keep my 9 years old engaged. However, she does enjoy seeing things like saturn rings. This binoculars are lot more fun.
The optics are really nice for the price. The field is wide, the image is bright, razor sharp and with fine contrast and color rendition. My complaint is with the center focusing mechanism which tends to drift and requires constant attention.

Strong construction, good optics, very good durable item. These binos hit the sweet spot and can be hand-held or tripod mounted. Theses binos make for a very good portable viewing instrument. Well worth the price I paid.
