VERDICT In our opinion, the V15 Detect really is the best Dyson stick vacuum to date:- Lots of power- Fantastic run times on hard floor- Swappable batteryThe only thing to watch out for is the shortish run time on carpet in AUTO power mode.

Dyson ups the ante with the V15 Detect. All the upgrades with it help make home cleaning more efficient. For me, the most practical would be the green laser where dust particles are exposed in a manner not possible with an LED headlight.

After testing the Dyson V15 Detect for several months, I found that Dyson still retains the title of stick vac to beat, with just a couple of caveats.

I bought the best cordless Dyson thinking everyone would use the cordless rather than kick or grind stuff into the floor and rug. (I am the guiltiest). It worked so great, I bought the 2nd for our Bayhouse. Now everyone easily picks up dirt and miscellaneous mess as we go. I feel like Tom Sawyer.

I bought the V15 to replace a (still working—but dying) DC44 cordless we bought about 10 years ago. The difference is astounding. It's great on both carpet and hard floors, once you do some trial testing and find what attachment works best for your flooring.

I absolutely recommend this vacuum!! 1st off, I have 2 dogs, and the amount of pet hair this wonderfully designed machine is able to pick up is beyond my comprehension. It has a laser light that shows the debris that you miss. The only downside, is the battery life. This is my only complaint.

2 issues. 1. There needs to be an on switch so I don’t have to keep pressing the button for long cleans. 2. The light up floor head needs a redesign on the tiny microscopic wheels that dog hair wraps around and is unremovable without taking head apart, which I’m not doing because I’ll strip screws.

So easy to use. No more cords to worry about. Makes carpeted stairs easy to clean. I also find it so easy to vacuum under furniture as it is so flexible. I find myself vacuuming more often because it is so easy just to take it off the wall and vacuum up a place I see needs cleaning in between my...

I am a "Dyson Only" user for my vacuums. Between pets and kids, it's the best brand of vacuum brand by far. This V15 does not disappoint. I love the new light they put on the floor attachment -- it really highlights the dust I may normally miss.

I bought the outsized Dyson and replaced that one with this model type. Much more of what I need. Lighter in Weight with roller attachments that does not get tangled with hair and another attachment with laser feature for hardwood floors to see dirt and dust better enabling us to pickup more dust...

Super easy to set up. The amount of suction is fabulous. Not difficult at all to use daily if necessary. It is obvious the battery life reduces significantly going from tile floor to plush carpet. Makes sense though, it has to work harder. So glad I bit the bullet and purchased this.

This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. I have 2 short haired dogs who you can literally see the hair falling off of then as they walk around. Year round. I have carpet and this vacuum picks up dirt that I didn't even know was there. It's so easy to use. It makes cleaning fun. Just buy it.

Yeah, the cleaner is almost perfect. I really like to vacuum just before breakfast. It's like a video game (especially with the green-glowing vacuum-brush accessory). But... The trigger is too sensitive, if it comes to my expectations. It's really easy to unexpectedly run the engine by mistake.
