An actual power button on the Dyson Gen5detect instead of the usual trigger is a welcome relief, plus it also features an integrated crevice tool and a bigger battery – changes I appreciate.

I have been using the Gen5 for the past few days, and I am impressed with the performance of the machine. I upgraded from a V15 which I used happily over the past two years, so to say Gen5 is a great machine is something!

I chose the smaller model instead of Outsize because I live in a studio so Detect fits in almost all corners of my small apt. It's very powerful... I absolutely love this vacuum. Having previously used Dyson products and having loved them all: this one definitely falls in line with Dyson's standards of quality and convenience. It has a few upgrades from the previous vacuum I have used. It has a good charge time.

Pick up is great. Cumbersome and quite heavy to use. Will not stand on its own which is annoying. Not everyone wants to or can use the supplied wall dock? Overpriced when you take into account the above niggles . The design needs a rethink

Whilst I'm sure this is a great vac, I just couldn't use it! I received it and unpacked it and, oh boy, that handle / bin combo is so VERY HEAVY without any attachments on it so sadly it's going back - there's just no way I could ust this and I didn't think I was that weak but it is VERY heavy...

Very good product easily used

Bought 3 weeks ago and it is an amazing upgrade from my previous V10. Much more suction power but also a bit heavier so something to bear in mind if weight is an issue.Overall it does a great job and although I thought the "laser" light was a gimmick its really helpful in highlighting dust/dirt on...

The head didnt even last a month

Excellent stick cleaner. Suction beats any other stick cleaner I've tried. We have 3 cats & a busy household. Thrilled with this cleaner.
