The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro is a sharp macro lens, but it doesn't offer 1:1 magnification and focus is on the slow side.

XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro This telephoto macro lens for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 91mm lens on a 35mm camera, has a bright f/2.4 maximum aperture, produces half life size magnification at its closest focusing distance and costs around £600.
Out of three lenses, launched along the Fujifilm X-Pro1, the 2.4/60 model has the best pros to cons ratio. Does it mean it is the best? It would be difficult to answer such a question unambiguously.

solid and high quality casing,, very good resolution in the frame centre,, good resolution on the edge of the frame,, excellent correction of chromatic aberration,, slight spherical aberration,, good coma correction,, negligible astigmatism,, moderate vignetting,, good transmission.

noticeable distortion,, unreliable autofocus,, work against bright light could have been better.
The Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R macro is the best of the three initial lenses for the X-mount. The image quality is already very good at f/2.4 and bitingly sharp around f/4. The resolution remains impressive till about f/11.
Those wishing to use this lens for portraiture and the occasional bit of macro work will find the performance of the Fuji 60mm pretty much perfect. Sharpness is excellent from corner to corner, CA is pretty much non-existent, and other optical problems like distortion and falloff are also very well...

Issue with internal reflections under certain conditions, Slow autofocus at close distances
I've owned a few macros in the Nikon world. My Nikon 55mm and 60mm were super sharp but the out of focus treatment was a bit busy and harsh. Neither were useable wide open. Same for my Tamron 90 in Nikon mount although it had great bokeh.
I have joined the many long-time DSLR users who have decided to lighten their camera bags. For a long time I have been shooting with heavy pro DSLRs and glass lenses. My results have been very rewarding and satisfying, but the weight of my backpack has gotten to me.
The 39mm lens cap does attach firmly to the lens without careful manipulation. Once attached it's ok but double check that it is firmly attached before proceeding. Otherwise, you'll need to buy a new one as I did. ?
Terrific lens. I have yet to come across a Fuji lens that I wasn't totally satisfied with.
This is one of three primary lenses I purchased for my Fujifilm X Pro2 (other two are the Fuji 23mm and the Zeiss 12mm). This lens is quite sharp, light, and the macro is useful when you want to get close. f2.4 is fast enough for most work you'd use this lens for. Very happy with it
This was the first lens I purchased after I switched to Fuji. Prior to DSLRs I lived with a Nikon FM2 and their 105mm f/2.5. I could never find an equivalent that satisfied me until this guy. The 90mm (35mm equivalent) view it provides has me as happy as I was.
