More expensive than the XF 23mm f/2 R WR and XF 35mm f/2 WR, Bokeh isn't as dreamy as the XF 56mm f/1.2 R or XF 56mm f/1.2 APD ASPH
The quality of the images created using this lens don’t disappoint, and by opening the lens to its widest aperture setting of f/2 it’s possible to create a pleasing separation between near and far subjects.

Fujifilm has been gaining an enviable following with their X Mount range and now have released two compact prime lenses that evoke the form factor of the traditional rangefinder lens. The first of these to be reviewed was the 23mm f/2 , the second is the 50mm f/2.
When it comes to image quality, the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR lens is capable of delivering some beautiful images when paired with something like the Fuji X-Pro2. Sharpness is great throughout the aperture range, and you’re likely to be pleased with what it can deliver.
With a very even and impressive performance, weather resistance, great handling and high-quality finish it would be hard not to like this Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens. The Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR is an ideal standard lens for the range of Fujifilm cameras.

The Fujifilm XF 35mm F2 R WR offers a classic standard focal length, fast maximum aperture and weather-proofing in a small, discrete package, making it well-suited to street, reportage and low-light photography in any conditions when paired with a similarly weather-proof body.
The Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R is a highly attractive addition to the Fujifilm lens lineup. It combines an ultra-large aperture with high quality results. At large aperture settings the center quality is already pretty high whereas the borders/corners are at least on a good level.
Often, crop-sensor systems are treated as amateur equipment, and they arrive at our doorstep with components of less-than-stellar quality. Too often, this corner-cutting includes lenses of mediocre optical and build quality (budget-priced Nikkor and Canon APSC lenses come to mind) compared to...
This is the must have prime lens for any camera brand. However Fuji does the XF line right. This lens works as expected but will a certain attention to detail by Fuji that makes the photographer easier and fun. The feed back in clicks and the feel in hand is superb. The image is fantastic.
Beautiful images are captured using this lens. The quality of the image is perfect. Its just that good.
This lens can produce very sharp pictures but it just didnt meet my needs. I like the focal length but I just didnt like this lens. But, if this focal length works for you, then get the lens, you will not be disappointed.
After using this lens for a couple of weeks, I am really impressed. Very quick to focus and very nice subject separation/ bokeh. Great portrait lens in a very small form factor.
Lighter than what I thought it would be! [a nice change!] Faaassst!! Of course I have the Fuji AF+MF option available as Im primarily a manual focus guy. Why? Most digital cameras hunt for focus in low light conditions whereby I just go about twisting the focus ring.
I love Fuji products, some more than others, you cant go wrong with a prime, and the color saturation and low light ability is supreme. granted its a 53mm in full frame, walking back 4 inches wont hurt Me, and the pay off is worth it. another score for Fuji
This lens is everything I was looking for. The focus is ultra fast and quiet and the lens it compact and light-weight. The built is solid and the photos are sharp.
One more happy customer here. This is my first XF lens, and I must say its quite sharp, I still havent updated the firmware but so far Focus speed is nice. The plan is to use it mostly for street photography or ocasional family portraits.
