Looking at what this lens actually offers the Fuji user, at a reasonable cost, it extends the focal length to a very desirable 300mm, whilst maintaining overall quality very well up to 200mm and keeping that crisp central sharpness right up to 300mm.

Fast focusing and sharp. Used to shoot football on X-H1 and very pleased with the results.
great bokeh, no visible CA, spot on AF even with difficult targets such as grass seedheads, and very good image stabilisation. This lens is a joy to use. With Fuji's intrinsically low noise images (X-T30) even the limited wide open aperture is not an issue.
Fantastic lens. People worry about the plastic body but it is very well built - It feels much more solid than my 55-200mm and I'm confident it could handle much more of a beating. Focus and zoom rings are smooth and well damped, and the aperture ring is firm.
All went smoothly and loving the lens!
Use XS10 fist class is light
So light for a 300mm (5.4°), easy quick fun deep zooms and back, 1/3 macro!, top optics, works on X-A7 to flagship models. Don’t worry this lens does not get a Red Badge. Other than top optics, Red Badge also means it is built like an indestructible heavy tank.
Excellent image quality and easy ergonomics straight out of the box, despite being the first and only zoom lens in my Fuji system. Impressive build quality.
I waited a long time to get this lens because it was not available. However the wait was worth it. The lens is extremely well made and the optics are really good. I must admit I have not got the best from it because I am still getting used to the camera it fits onto.
I finally received this beautiful lens just in time for a trip to Harris. It's wonderful. I would say it's been on my xT-3 for half our time here. It's no problem to carry (unlike the 100-400 which I part exchanged for it) and works really nicely with the x2 teleconverter.
This is my best lens for Fuji X, including adapted ones. It is amazingly sharp, including with the 1.4x teleconverter. I've had it on the camera most of the time for the last month or so. It's far better than the 16-80mm lens at the focal lengths that over lap.
