GE Profile 2.2 cu. ft. White Built-In Microwave

Lots of special cooking choices. Popcorn button works grea. Express cook is so convenient and easy. Love the large numbers for the clock. The timer is always a nice tool to have and it’s easy to locate. The inside is darker than the previous microwave but getting to like the color much better.

I swapped out a previous GE microwave product with what should be the current equivalent. The fit and finish isn't as good, the door sags about an 1/16+ below being nice an even with the oven control side. The door open push bar mechanism sticks unless you push it with more than one finger.

This was the perfect microwave for myself and my family. It heats up frozen food and our leftovers evenly. Great results. Couldn't be happier

About time we need to replace 20 years old GE JE2840GB 002 model in Black. It's too bad similar Black units are hard to find. Not only microwave the trim kit is also not available for a newer model. Still waiting for Black trim kit. See photo. The door makes loud noise during closing and opening.

We bought this as the replacement for a prior GE model; it was the one recommended to fit in the space allowed for a microwave. This has been a great improvement; the venting/trim kit, seems to be a definite upgrade to what we had previously.

This GE profile was purchased to replace and older model which had lasted about 10 years. Since it is built in, we were concerned about finding another model which would fit. We were very surprised and happy that this unit was nearly the same size, with a similar trim kit, to allow built in...

So far I’m loving this new oven. We replaced a 17 year old GE profile with this one. They are both 1100 watts but this one has .1 cubic ft. More volume. It is much quieter and cooks faster than the old oven. I hope it lasts as long.

I bought this microwave to replace the built-in we had so it had to be a certain size and match the built-in oven. It fits nicely but the installation process is so difficult you need an appliance person to install which GE does not provide. We used the old trim and wood strips instead.

We've tried a number of microwaves over the years and the GE Profile line is easily our favorite. With other microwaves we missed little things like the responsive keypad, the ability to mute sounds and the quick start and add 30 seconds buttons. Cooking is good with zero complaints.
