Not sure how JBL was able to get more bass and a better overall sound compared to the legacy model, and ditched the proprietary charging cable.

Great JBL sound as expected. Awesome that we can bring the JBL Boombox 3 to the beach and on boating trips without the worry of getting some water while enjoying the music.
The Boombox 3 has an amazing amount of power for volume.Good bass reproduction, and the mids and highs come through clearly.

Awesome speaker
The sound is amazing. You can tell the difference between other speakers and this is far superior. It out-performed other speakers on the beach (competition between people known to us). I know it is water-proof but haven't tested that theory.
Got in on sale and it’s worth it with its 40hz range it really has deep bass would recommend.
