Introducing Next Generation JBL 3 Series MkII Studio MonitorsDesigned as an adjunct to JBL's LSR series, this active studio subwoofer adds the extra low-end thump that is so critical to a lot of modern music production.
I added this sub woofer to my JBL LSR 305's after our first screening of our independent film production. When played back in a theater with full surround system at theater volumes I was shocked at the low frequency handling noise that crept into the tracks from the boom mic that did not register on...
Works great with my pair of JBL LSR305 and completes the sound system. It is worth the money. If you plan on connecting this to your PC or Mac computer, make sure to get yourself a sound interface. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and it makes the system sound awesome.
I purchased this subwoofer to complete a 2.1 system for my PC with some JBL LSR305 speakers. The normal bass setting is subtle and good overall. I enjoy the XLR bass setting more though as it gives it that extra hit down low.
I am a journalist/filmmaker and needed to get a solid monitoring system on a budget. What's great about this subwoofer is its selectable Extended Low Frequency (XLF) effect. I don't need it all the time ('cause I'm not a club head). But when I need to simulate the low-end felt at the cinema, boom!
Just what I needed to fill out the bottom end of my ns10's
This subwoofer was added to complete my set of JBL Studio Monitors and I do wish I had bought it when I bought the speakers!
Good, deep, chest moving bass.
I use this sub with a pair of JBL LSR reference monitors. They sound great together. I've been using it for a few months now. I use it mainly for video editing. Maybe not what you want if you're trying to shake the walls watching a movie but it still gives a lot of full low end.
