At first sight the Leica Ultravid 8x32 HD draws attention to its compact dimensions. It is a small instrument with a well-put-together casing, padded with uniform black material; it makes an impression of a diminutive device, smaller than it really is.

+
solid, compact and handy casing at the same time,, good transmission,, negligible astigmatism,, well-corrected chromatic aberration,, low coma,, slight brightness loss on the edge of the field of view,, good colour rendition,, perfectly black background around exit pupils,, very good blackening...

small eye relief,, too high distortion,, slightly egg-shaped pupils.
Good Points: Light weightCompact design
Good Points: Easy one hand operation
Good Points: Just quite simply brilliant visionImprovement Points: No
Good Points: I looked at premium 8x32 binos from Leica, Zeiss and Swarovski. They are all amazing and if someone gave you any one of them you would be insanely happy and never look back. I chose the Leica because it is the lightest and most compact of the three.
Good Points: A bright sharp image no matter what the weather is like. Portable and light so no neck ache at the end of the day as with bigger models. Close focus is a boon especially for looking at butterflies or even plants.Improvement Points: Only the price!
Good Points: Outstanding binoculars with such crisp level of detail, great size to weight ratio, I truly find it difficult to find fault.Improvement Points: Very expensive but that’s the cost for quality.
Good Points: Small and compact. Top, top quality.Improvement Points: None
Good Points: Quality, quality, quality.Improvement Points: None.
Good Points: Very compact and light for 8x32 compared with Swarovski and Nikon edg, just slightly less forgiving in terms of eye relief and placement but worth the trade off for portability
