As a backpack for one day shot hiking this one is perfect! But the first version of Photo Sport II was also enough for weekly travels.Thats why Ive rated it as 4 stars - I just relied on a slightly different usage scenario, and as an owner of the first version didn`t pay enough value to size.
This bag has awesome support in the waist and shoulders, looks like a backpackers daypack, manages to fit a good amount for its small size, fit my camera body and attached lens as well as a 16-300mm lens in the additional compartment, and the bag even has a separate bladder compartment.
Comfortable, sturdy, the water bladder option is critical to hikers. The side compartment is still a bit out of reach to use without taking it off, but you can get a lens in and out. I can carry the dslr on my neck and fit two wide angle lenses in the side compartment.
I'm an amateur photographer and an amateur hiker. This pack holds everything I need for a dayhike plus photo gear. Its perfect size for me, not sure if a more photo enthusiast will appreciate size. I usually carry a Canon SL1 with kit lens attached.
I am really happy i got the 300. It is smaller then I though, even after watching video reviews. The 200 would have been to small. Though the BP 300 is small, the camera section holds my camera, Sony a6300 with 18-200mm lens, a 10-18mm lens, as well as room on top of the camera for my filter kit.
Ive been going out on long day-hikes with the Lowepro Photo Sport BP 300 AW II for the past month or so. Its much lighter than my full-on camera bag (2lb. as opposed to 6lbs. for the Lowepro Whistler 400).
I first saw a similar bag in Iceland and thought, what a great idea! This is one of my best camera bags. It is designed for minimalist photography, while traveling. Specifically, it has a side entrance for padded storage of one camera (with lens attached) and one other lens.
The Photo Sport BP 300 AW II is a great day pack for a day hike with full size DSLR, a few lenses and space for essentials for a day on the trail. With the upper half of the bag free for packing a lunch, spare jacket, a hat, sunglasses, and hydration bladder this pack is way more than just a camera...
Quick send, good product, I recommend it. The bag is very comfortable and looks fantastic, big enough to carry all my usual camera gear, all day.
Been looking for a pack to use while Mtn Biking. This one is a good option - has a pocket for a water bladder like a Cambelback with a padded section to carry a DSLR/lens and another lens. Large pocket up top will hold lunch/snacks, rain jacket and other asst camera gear.
