The attractive Marshall Emberton speaker is on the small side for the price, but it delivers a bigger sound than its dimensions suggest.

Powerful audio performance for the size, Cool, compact design, Waterproof
-
-
No speakerphone functionality, No aux input
The Marshall Speaker really has nothing wrong with it but it also isn't going to blow you away in any one category. There are plenty of other great Bluetooth speakers that will save you some cash, but if we're being honest only the Marshall Emberton looks like an amp.
-
+
Good size, Sounds good, IPX7 build, The golden knob for playback works perfectly, Bluetooth 5 and connection strength is solid, USB-C input for charging
-
-
No microphone, Battery life is just fine, Only compatible with SBC, not other Bluetooth codecs here, Price makes it harder to choose this over the competition
We’ve reviewed Marshall speakers a few times in the past, and we’ve been impressed. If you’re not familiar with Marshall, the company has been well-known for making some of the best guitar and bass amps for years.

Really nice looking design that embraces the Marshall aesthetic, Easy to use and setup, Outstanding sound, Price is spot on, Plenty of value for the price, IPX7 Water Resistance

I have not one complaint about the Emberton
Marshall’s new $149 Emberton Bluetooth speaker gives the beloved Logitech Ultimate Ears Boom a run for its money. For starters, it charges over USB-C for quick, no-fuss charging, and it borrows the excellent joystick-like controls from Marshall’s recent lineup of headphones.
-
+
Elegant, nearly foolproof controls, USB-C charging, IPX7 waterproof
-
-
No microphone, Cringe-inducting startup sound
The unmistakable Marshall design will appeal to many rock lovers. But the sound of Emberton is rather tame.
-
+
Rough and tough sound, robustly built, a look that appeals to rock lovers.
-
-
Thin midrange.
This small but powerful Bluetooth speaker sounds great.
-
+
Powerful, rich sound, Goes loud, Excellent battery life, IPX7 water resistance, Small
-
-
Pricey, Control knob takes practice
-
+
It packs a lot of sound for such a tiny unit, can stand up to wear and tear, but looks great on a shelf.
-
-
Its power-on sound is god-awful, and it lacks speakerphone support.
The Marshall Emberton is a very good, waterproof, portable, battery-powered speaker with Marshall’s usual pleasing sound and rock’n’roll design flourishes.
-
+
Powerful sound from a small speaker, Rugged and waterproof, Long lasting battery
-
-
No mic, No EQ control
The target market for a speaker like this want a combination of portability, acoustic power and long battery life. The Emberton ticks those boxes with confidence.
-
+
Stylish & portable, Great sound, Durable, Long battery life
-
-
No aux input, Can't stereo pair two speakers
As a Bluetooth speaker this little banger delivers sound well beyond its small frame. But the real appeal is the classic Marshall styling - not only does it sound good, it's got distinction to stand out among the crowd of boring suit-n-ties speakers.
-
+
Classic design in a small package, Great audio quality - bolder than size would suggest, Easy-to-use controls and indicators, 20-hour battery life, Water-resistant too
-
-
Some random disconnects, No 3.5mm input, No mic for smart assistants
i have one of the Emberton's big brothers (Action) which i love so had to try this in the shop. Bought it there and then, only went in for a camera bag. Very impressive for its size, easily fits in travel luggage, laptop bags etc and delivers great sound with superb music coverage range.
You should buy this. The sound quality is amazing, as you'd expect from any Marshall product. If that isn't enough, it has 20 hours of battery life, pairs with multiple devices easily, plays sound out of both sides of the speaker, and if you want to use tactile controls the toggle at the top is easy...
I usually don’t write reviews but when I do it’s because the product is outstanding. For the size of this speaker it’s very loud. It delivers a rich, vibrant, and clear sound. I appreciate it doesn’t have too much bass so you can hear the lyrics. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth it in my opinion!
Purchased for my husband as he had previously reviewed this speaker online. Compared to Bose, I knew he wanted it after doing his research. He was not disappointed. He’s extremely happy with this speaker. Last a very long time. Sound is amazing! Would definitely recommend.
Small guy packs a punch. As you'd expect with Marshall the sound is fantastic. I had to play around with my EQ initially as it did struggle at high volume - although surely this is to be expected for such a small speaker. At low to mid vol it is excellent, as good as any small portable I've heard.
I wanted a Bluetooth speaker for travel, but now that I’ve tested it I might use it in the house too. Great build quality, easy to use, battery indicator, and the sound that comes out of this little speaker is very impressive. Makes me question my larger speakers.
I never expected to get option from Marshall in this price range and I was exploring options like Bose, Sony,Jbl primarily. Honestly is sound clarity specially vocals is importa to you then this might be best small speaker you could buy. I listen to soft old songs and they sound really well on this.
As a guitar player, I was drawn to this speaker and wow I was not disappointed! The sound is so crisp and clear, the bass is amazing... for such a small speaker this thing can really blast!
I love my Emberton. It's a great size for taking it outside, around the house, and traveling. The sound especially the bass is really great for such a small speaker. All of the functionality is really intuitive and I love the look, so much more upscale versus a Beats Pill or other options out there.
Very nice lil speaker, great sound for its size & sits perfectly on the dashboard of my car.
