The Marshall Kilburn II speaker looks great, sounds very good, and has onboard EQ knobs, but ultimately feels priced a little too high.
-
+
Powerful audio output with rich lows and bright, clear highs., Handsome, amp-inspired design., Bass and treble knobs.
-
-
Expensive., Lacks sub-bass., Water-resistance rating (IPX2) is about as low as it gets.
I really like the Kilburn II, although personally I hardly ever need one of the most important features: the battery. Sure, it lasts really long, but I don’t ever bring the speaker outdoors, so I’m always near an outlet.

+
Wonderful design, High quality manufacturing, Long battery life, Loud and powerful sound
-
-
Somewhat expensive, Not waterproof, No additional functions
Kilburn II isn't the smallest portable speaker out there. Even in Marshall's lineup, the Stockwell is a smaller option. However, the larger size gets you impressively loud and great sounding audio and a phenomenal battery life.

Marshall’s new Kilburn II is the iconic brand’s latest foray into the portable Bluetooth speaker market, a successor to its original 2015 Kilburn speaker. Kilburn II continues to blend Marshall’s unmistakable aesthetic and rugged design...
“The Marshall Kilburn II Bluetooth speaker is loud and proud, but still sounds sweet and balanced.”
While the Kilburn II delivers powerful sound output and has quirky bass/treble controls, its sound profile isn't the most deft nor cleanest listen in its class. But for that wonderful wall-of-sound wrapped into a retro design, it's hard to beat.

Retro design appeal and quality build, Strong Bluetooth connection (5.0 with aptX), Great bass/treble adjustment dials, Powerful sound and loud output, Decent battery life
-
-
Not much connectivity (no Wi-Fi, Mesh, Multi-room, Stereo pairing), Limited stereo separation, Not the cleanest listen ever, No mid band adjustment
A stylish speaker with sound worthy of the Marshall name.
-
+
Gorgeous design, Excellent build, Powerful sound, Splashproof
-
-
Could do with greater separation
A rocker-favourite speaker that can go from polite to a party monster with the twist of a dial
-
+
Good sound, Sharp Marshall look
-
-
Could be more water resistant, Limited controls, The very best have deeper bass, firmer mids
Marshall’s Kilburn II is a fantastic update to its bestselling predecessor, with a stunning retro amp-inspired design and a well-rounded sound. While the bass can be a little muddy at times, it’s excellent for playing guitar music, and its portability means the Kilburn II is great for taking on the...

Clear top notes, Rugged and portable, Cool retro aesthetic

Slightly muddy bass, Can feel heavy
By streamlining the Kilburn's looks, stripping back the features and beefing up the sound, Marshall makes its best speaker to date

Excellent sound, Moderate moisture proofing gives greater versatility, Long battery life, Good looks

Has apt-X for better sound from Android… but no AAC for iOS, A bit overpriced at its RRP
I take this back and fourth to Kauai to use on the beach I get so many compliments on it for the look and especially for the sound. The battery holds a charged for a long time & recharges so fast! I am obsessed with this little bb
After reading many reviews I decided to go for this Marshall speaker due to the sound quality/size balance. It also looks good. I needed the speaker to connect to my new bluetooth turntable and the sound is fantastic. Also the bluetooth range is very impressive.
Besides the power, I love the ability to shape the output tone with individual bass and treble controls, the long battery life and meter that shows how much battery life is left. Great at low volume and when you feel like Cranking it Up to 10.
I love my Marshall amps and was hoping for the best with this little speaker. It completely blew me away and I love the sound and deep bass. I continue to the try to find new ways to use including hooking it up to my older TV's whenever I can to enjoy the sounds.
First time buying a Marshall speaker and really impressed with it. I was concerned (after reading some reviews) about the sound volume being too low, but that is not an issue at all... it goes loud.I chose the Kilburn II, because I fell in love with the size and shape, and I am very happy with it.
We bought the Woburn II’s for the house and wanted a portable, too. The Kilburn II is perfect. It is stylish and the perfect to take with you. And, the sound is so pure. I can’t get enough music with these speakers.
