Manfrotto 098B Wall Mounting Boom Arm, Black - 47.2-82.6" (1.2-2.1m)

Long wall mounted boom arm, reduce the number of tripods you have standing on your studio floor. It is very long, suitable for large studios but not small ones.

I bought this for my school's tv studio to hold a flourescent light so I could eliminate a stand in my classroom. Without any weight on it, it works perfectly smoothly but put any weight on it and it is difficult to extend and retract.

This thing is perfect. I needed this to fit in a spot without having too much clutter. I am currently using a Speedlight on an umbrella adapter on it. Easy installation and holds that amount of weight with no difficulty.

We are using this boom to hold backdrops, it's awesome for that purpose!

My studio space is limited, so the wall mounted Manfrotto boom arms allow me to put up a light without the clutter of another light stand. They are especially good for hair and background lights.

This is strong enough to hold a White Lightning Ultra 1600, which is exactly what I needed it for. My new studio is a bit smaller than my old one, and a regular free standing boom is a little too big to be convenient.

Good build quality. I use it for a hair light to free up floor space in my small camera room. No regrets.

I saw a version of the Manfrotto wall mount arm, actually the Auto version with a spring loaded balancer, I did some research and found the 098B wall mount boom arm. This item was much cheaper, and had the features I needed up/down horizontal.

This wall boom is a great replacement for a light stand. It really frees up a lot of floor space. Also it eliminates the need for counterweights and the possibility of tipping.
