The Manfrotto MVH500AH is a lightweight and compact tripod head with a wide sliding plate that is suitable for use with big DSLR telephoto lenses and professional quality video cameras. It ensures smooth adjustments, fine controls and sharp pictures.
I was concerned that this head may not be strong enough for my Canon C100 fully loaded with shotgun mic and wireless mic receiver. Works great! Took me a little time to figure out all its features (probably should have read manual), but I soon discovered how easy it is to put the camera on and get...
This is a very good head for video/DSLRs. I use it with my GH5 on a Sirui monopod. Both the pan and tilt are smooth. Might get a second one for the slider.
I'm using this head with the Manfrotto MVMXPRO500US XPRO Aluminum monopod. This combination is unbeatable! You get all kinds of fluid camera movements, pans and high shots without hassle. The head does not have a pan movement itself, it sits firmly on top of the monopod.
Is build to last, easy to use I greatly reccomend it

I purchased this fluid head to sit on top of a suction-cup car mount. The two products pair up nicely. The video camera feels secure on the plate. Manfrotto's usual finesse with tilt and pan friction control shows on this product.
Until recently I had only used a Ball Head for photography. I was ready to purchase a large, very expensive ball head, but after seeing a review of the Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Head on YouTube I decided to do some more research.
I bought this Manfrotto Fluid Head to be used with a Vortex Razor spotting scope. I wanted something that would give smooth control in both the side to side and the up and down movement. I tried a head that had both motions controlled at the same time with a locking handle and found it hard to use.
I bought this to pair with my SUP-204SR and have never regretted the decision over the VA-5 and VH-10 although it was like $50 less if i were to go for the MVMXPro500. I was close to getting the VH-10!The Sirui Feels better, Looks better, Works better not to say that the VA-5 or VH-10 is no good.
This head combined with a leveling plate is great for video. It pans smoothly and the long handle comes off if you don't need it. There are many more expensive fluid heads, but this one is amazing for the price.
I use the fluid head on a tree arm to film hunts. I am so impressed with how slothful it works and how easy it is to use. This was recommended to me and I would recommend it as well.
