The Microsoft Surface Book 3 13.5 offers a lot of qualities for the smaller convertible model. The workmanship is excellent and the hinge is also unique in connection with the holding mechanism of the display.

high quality, stable docking mechanism, good SD card reader, a lot of hardware in the tablet part, quiet under load

short battery life, moderate CPU performance, high price, no maintenance options
I’ve been a 13.5-inch Surface Book 2 owner since 2018. I love the thing because it has a combination of unique advantages, such as its 3:2 aspect ratio, discrete GPU options, and unique detachable screen, that you won’t find in any other laptop on the market.

Great keyboard, trackpad, and display, Detachable screen with 3:2 aspect ratio, All-day battery life

Wobbly display, No Thunderbolt 3 support, Design is getting dated
“The Surface Book 3 13-inch has great performance to back up its unique design.”
The Surface Book 3 is a productivity workhorse that performs surprisingly well as an after-hours gaming machine.
If you need the power and detachable display, the Surface Book 3 is an excellent option

Excellent keyboard and trackpad, 3:2 aspect ratio continues to be the best, Powerful hardware on offer

Design needs a refresh, Quality issues like squeaky hinge and keys, Sporadic battery life
In the recent past, I've written about attempting to eek out 5 hours of battery life from laptops that are more or less in the same class as the Microsoft Surface Book 3.

Please Microsoft, just make a convertible
“The Surface Book 3 is not for everyone, but it's a one-of-a-kind laptop that's a joy to use.”
Great laptop! Fast, powerful, and dependable. My only complaint is that the battery life is only lasting approx. 6 hours compared to my last surface (of almost 6 years) where that battery would last any where between 8 - 10 hours.
I love this laptop. Aesthetically it’s beautiful. Functionally it works great - I’m just using it for general personal use (email, Microsoft office, video watching) and it seems fine. The keyboard has a backlight which is helpful. I wish the pen came with but you have to buy it separately.
It is a good laptop for on the road work. However, as others experienced, the laptop does get fairly warm. According to Google searches this problem is evident with i7 chipset models.
I was excited to buy something that had both laptop and tablet capabilities. However, I have noticed in using it that it is very sensitive, so if you adjust the monitor or move it, it will attempt to switch modes and will take a little time to reset where the mouse will work.
So far so good! Great screen, very fast. Love the 2 in 1 design, especially the detachable screen. Time will tell as with all computers on the the overall durability.
I brought this product from my personal funds -- could not be happier. Great product.
Just what I need. It has the capacity to handle all my large projects as an architect, as well as the flexibility to act as a tablet . The pen is going to be really useful on site to simply make notes and tags for later updates.
The Microsoft Surface Book 3 is a fantastic machine. I have used Surface pros in the past and found that they can lack the power and usability. This device having the general feel of a laptop but fictionality of a tablet is so much better.
The ease of setting up, the Surface Book is stylish, fast and a pleasure to use.
What a quality item, looks great, feels great performance is excellent I’m spending more time stopping my kids from trying to steal it including my daughter which is a Mac fan
