NHL 19 has hockey coming out of its ears. There’s enough content here to last a good while or at least until NHL 20 finds its way on the shelves. Offering different levels of realism on a large scale, from controls to team management, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
Shoot and score.

New pond hockey mode takes the action outdoors for fast and fun play, The controls are superb, with enough depth to play with skill and style, Threes remains an over-the-top delight, Successfully captures the spirit of the sport, even outside the NHL

Pond hockey mode's online-only setup is a letdown, Lack of new features and content for veteran players is disappointing
I am so thankful Family Friendly Gaming purchased a copy of NHL 19 on the Xbox One. It is always awesome to have someone and something supportive after the failures of the PR and Marketing people representing this game.
Benjamin Franklin once said nothing is certain but death and taxes. He didn't know about EA Sports, because if he had he would have thrown yearly sports game releases on that list.
Gameplay is okay at best. Tripping is way to easy and they doge checks easily, other than that, graphics are outstanding
The last time I purchased EA Sport's NHL franchise was 2007, mainly because they stopped making a PC version. One of the things I loved about the game was its customizable controls. I was able to assign, shoot pass and accelerate buttons that actually made sense.
I think the graphics, gameplay and fact that you’re able to use the ‘94 style controls make this game awesome! Highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying this one.
Best hockey game on the market. The scouting and fog of war changes bring a much needed breath of fresh air to franchise mode. While there are still some issues with the gameplay it is definitely improving each year.
Its like madden in almost every way but just with hockey and much faster pace
First off, it looks STUNNING. Easily the best looking hockey game to day, with exception of how very few of the players look like their real life counterparts, but we'll give that one a pass because they probably can't dedicate a bunch of time to laser-scan each player's face for a video game.
Love the game and love that i can play as the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL
Unfortunately EA did not change much in terms of the game play as far as I can tell. I have been playing the series since it came out and this year seems to be the year where they skipped big changes. I only do games against friends , so I can not comment on online games or league games.
Great Graphics compared to last years version. Love the game.
Enjoying a lot, and the graphical improvements are nice. However, player likenesses are way off. Lots of fun online and offline modes, and HUT returns, but the lack of events in HUT, and methods to complete card collection sets, bog down this year's entry.
