The Nikon Nikkor Z MC 50mm f/2.8 gives a superb performance, excellent handling and a light, compact form factor all sum up this excellent macro lens. There are no bad macro lenses, but this one pushes the envelope out a little further and excels.

The MC 50mm f2.8 replaces my F-mount 50mm f1.8 and 105mm f2.8 micro. The Z-mount lens is great for hand-held macro, and being so light it is very easy to carry all day long. Great price and service from Castle Cameras as always, and pleased to be able to support the local shop.

Great image quality, light-weight, what's not to like (and 1:1 macro).

Pre-ordered the 50 and the 105, each for different reasons. Have only received the 50mm, which was intended for cramped space still-lifes and for the ES film copier. I tried it out on my z7 II and haven't been able to take it off.

A great lens overall. Compact and a great focal length for walking around. The Macro ability (i.e. its specific design) is amazing. Tac sharp details with minimal (if any) chromatic aberration. Slight Vignetting (to be expected) but it adds to the composition in a good way. Focusing is fast.

Excellent all around lens. Great for macro photography. Easy to change from 50mm to macro settings.I recommend this lens.
