Nikon Z Teleconverter TC-1.4x

Both Nikon Z teleconverters work perfectly as advertised: They magnify the image of any (compatible) lens in front of them by 1.4x or 2.0x in exchange for a 1 or 2 stop slower focal ratio. They translate all EXIF data and retain every function of the mounted lens.

I have to say that my Z6 II with a Z 70-200 and this 1.4 teleconverter actual out performs my D5 setup with the same, but older lens and teleconverter for DSLR. I am no longer skeptical of mirrorless technologies.

I used the TC-1.4x in combination with my z7 and f2.8 70/200 lens in combination with a polarizing filter to capture images of the Masters Historic F1 Race at Laguna Seca this past weekend.

Works very well with the Z 70-200 S which is currently the only lens it works with. My results similar to all other reviews: no significant loss of sharpness over the bare lens.

This past weekend I used the TC-1.4X on my z7 with the f2.8 70/200mm to capture images during the Masters Historic F1 Race at Laguna Seca. The day this image was captured was heavily overcast with a mist that instead on covering my lens element every few minutes after I would dry it.

Wow, just wow, really wow!

Hardly notice any difference when used on the Z70-200 F2.8 lens -as good as the lens without teleconverter. Just beware this is the only lens you can currently use it on.

Works great images with the Z 70-200mm are nice and sharp
