I was only given a short window of time to review the CDJ-900 and CDJ-2000; therefore, I know I haven’t covered everything as these decks are capable of so much more than I can write about in a few pages.

Excellent Jog Wheel Platter system, Rekordbox software is very good (Interface looks like a Pioneer CDJ), Multiple Media Playback Options (USB, CD, MIDI), Pioneer brand familiarity/reliability

Fairly Expensive, Lacks some “luxury” features of the CDJ-2000 model, Personal gripe – I still like actively spinning platters better than Jog Wheels as this is more familiar

Natural Selection? When Pioneer launched an intensive marketing campaign to promote their new CDJs it was always going to be followed by a feeling of anti-climax. The sheer cost of the CDJ-2000 was enough to make many potential buyers close their wallets, especially during these cash-strapped times...
If your like me, and finds traktor and serato hard to download or use or just too much then the cdj900 is for you. Just download your music to a flash drive Or a hard drive and off you go. Very easy to use right out the box.
I am going to give this CDJ a 9/10... It is worth it and it does what it does very well.... Reliable..lightwheight and stunning appearance. Great features and it will make any Dj have fun... I dont regret choosing this over the Cdj 2000's ... Slip mode is beast.
The CDJ 900s are amazing especially when used with the program Rekordbox. They are awesome the slip mode is a great feature that the 2000s dont have. A bit pricy but are Worth It!
Kickass CDJ, navigation isn't as great as the nexus, but who's complaining.
It is just as I expected! There is nothing much to say about it. It is PIONEER at it is best!!
Upgraded from CDJ-850k (which i also purchased here). And man what a jump it was!!!! Needing only 1 usb stick saves so much time when it comes to uploading new songs to the flash drive. And having proper looping with quantize makes life so much easier...
I have for over a year I had the cdj 1000 mk3 before ... I wanted to have the cdj 2000, but saw their prices .... So I hesitated between cdj 850/900. I finally price 900 because they are pro dj link and looking at music on hard disk or other screen on the 900 is much better than the 850.
I do not use very little at all and even more these days because I work on the CDJ-2000. It completely worth it because it has maximum functionality to the mix.
I really hope CDJs were not made this cheaply in the past, and I really hope the 2000's have a much better look and feel. I mean is this a joke? I thought I got a great deal on a brand new one, right around $1,100.00! I couldn't have been more disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it works perfectly...
I bought a pair of CDJ 900 early last September, and I'm very happy, the navigation is very pratique.La all digital networking RecordBox or on the platen was also very helpful in the evening, this avoids purchase several external digital media.
The PioneerCDJ-900NXS is compatible with the music management software Rekordbox. The CDJ-900NXS hid mode supports Serato DJ application.
Music stored inside Wi-Fi/USB-connected iPhone/iPod touch/iPad devices can be transmitted to the "PioneerCDJ-900NXS for DJ performances.
The touch panel displays of these devices can be used for intuitive operations. In addition, the enclosed Mac version of "rekordbox" can be used to send music to the "PioneerCDJ-900NXS" from inside a Wi-Fi-connected Mac. Also, when connected via USB, the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad devices can be charged during a performance. Android OS devices and Windows PCs also can send music via Wi-Fi/USB connections.
