Running these as front speakers,r300 center,r200 rear, and older polk fx-a4 as height speakers with a 10 inch velodyne sub.Paired with a Sony an1000 av receiver in a 5.1.2 setup, this setup is crystal clear and sounds amazing.I was worried as they list these speakers as 4 ohm,but the Sony powers them...
I had ELAC Debut bookshelf speakers and i wanted to replace with good tower speakers for my theater. I shortlisted few including B&W 7 series, Klipsch r8000 series. I read through good reviews for Polk reserve series. I got these on sale.
Built on their legends series topological these speakers deliver performance at a more reasonable price. When coupled with a quality capable amp (not AVR or receiver) that will deliver enough power the entire line just sings! I replaced my entire system with the reserve line.
Great sounding speaker for mid-sized room. After 30 hours of break in these speakers produced really nice soundstage, low end had punch, upper range very clean. Best speaker in its class. Glad I bought them!
These speakers are undoubtedly worth much more than the retail price listed. These can easily compete with speakers that are much above their price point. While playing a variety of EDM, I was able to push the volume very high and received zero distortion. Everything came out clean.
Beautiful look and sound. They're definitely look more expensive than your regular Polk. And heavier. Even the packaging inside-out is more protective than the regular Polks. I wanted to go for the R700, but it would have been a bit of overkill.
Exceeds my expectation in a relatively small floor standing package. When researching, I loved the specs and size of these speakers for my modest townhome living room, but was somewhat concerned not having an ability to first see and hear these in person before ordering.
These are a bit chubby in the bass, but very articulate elsewhere. Great imaging and soundstage width. Because of the near wall setup, not much soundstage depth, but not the speakers fault. A tremendous bargain, really. 5 years ago you would have to spend $5k to get this level of performance.
I am extremely impressed with these speakers! I am very happy and pleased.

Some times things are just meant to be. I originally ordered the Polk R100's and Pangea speaker stands. I was looking for an upgrade to my 33 year old Polk Monitor 5 floor speakers.

Rich detailed bass, and excellent sound stage. More sound at lower volumes and a better sensitivity rating than the bookshelf versions of the Reserve Line up make these a great pair of towers for a 50 watt per channel system.
