I decided to get this because I have a low dpi, and needed a lot of room to move the mouse. this mouse pad has so much friction, I don't doubt you would get carpet burn from using this for a few hours. If you have a high dpi, as to where your wrist only rotates, and doesn't slide, it could be okay.

I've only had this product for a few days and have really enjoyed it thus far. I haven't noticed a significant smell like others have pointed out. It has improved my accuracy in games as I used to use a very small mouse pad. It sits really well on my desk and adds to the black aesthetic I have.
