Samyang 14mm T3.1 Cine Lens for Nikon F-Mount

This lens does exactly what it needs to. Its cheap and worth it. No image stabilization so I would use some sort of gimbal to get those butter smooth wide shots. Some lens distortion on the outside but I think its kinda cool. Not worth spending a thousand more to have no distortion. Just buy it.

for some reason its very dark on my camera, it shows the peaking colors in the lcd display white, red and yellow. if i were to take a picture using the standard flash the lens visor displays a shadow at the bottom on the photo.

I have a crop censored Canon 70D and the 14 measures to a 22mm focal length. This lens has wonderful build quality. Excellent sharpness on APSC. A little distortion which can be corrected. The focus ring feels thick and smooth. Unbeatable for the price. Would highly recommend.

I got this to use with Canon 5D MKIII and Glidecam HD4000 to film wedding couples on the beach. To get deep focus I like to keep the aperture between F8 and F11. This gets the dramatic Hawaiian setting all in focus.

The first thing I did with this lens was shoot a time lapse of a blizzard. The results were fantastic. The image quality was so clear and the angle of view was great! I'm finally able to use a cine lens on my 7D! The aperture and focus rings are smooth and quiet, just as they need to be.

Top quality lens at the price offered. Do not worry about auto focus. You dont need it on this wide angle lens.

Use this lens on a Panasonic AF100. Provides an excellent wide angle with very little distortion. Build quality is first rate. Aperture is smooth. Focus using the follow focus ring is very smooth and accurate.

Using with the fs100 and speedbooster. It's really wide. Almost wish I bought a 16mm. Best for still camera shots as motion introduces some fisheye-like distortion in the sides.
