Impressive performance, Compact and lightweight, Competitively priced

-
Not weather-sealed, Corner-sharpness could be better
To sum up: for a very sensible price you get a lens which is optically very good, doesn't weigh a lot and is physically small so easy to handle. What more could you want?

+
shapely, small, lightweight casing,, excellent image quality in the frame centre,, good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,, moderate longitudinal chromatic aberration,, lack of problems with spherical aberration,, good distortion correction,, negligible vignetting on the APS-C sensor,,...
-
-
too weak image quality on the edge of the frame in wide area close to maximum relative aperture,, high vignetting on full frame,, noticeable problems with coma correction.
Whether the photographer sees this as an unusually long standard lens or as a slightly shorter portrait lens, the 75mm length proves in use to be very equitable. We can approach our portrait subjects quite closely, but not so close as to cause distortion of the features.

Outstanding central sharpness, Excellent edge sharpness, Low CA centrally, Moderate vignetting, Silent AF and aperture, Light and compact, Lovely bokeh, Very fair price, Very well made

No water and dust sealing
Small and light with fast and smooth autofocus, giving great bokeh. Picked this lens over the 85mm because of size, and weight. It is a dream of a lens that addresses the only negative aspect I have found with a Samyang lens; notably the lens hood attachment.
