overall the camera shoots excellent video in low and high speed frame mode. the start up is less then 3 seconds from power button/opening side viewer and it is recording. play back is easy to access when quick reviews are needed.
There are not so many traditional camcorders available now and this one has been around for some time. However, it does produce very good quality videos. I have had several Sony camcorders and I needed a replacement as I lost several videos due to the last one failing badly in hot weather.
This is an incredible camera, and is definitely 4K. The problem is the auto focus sometimes takes too long to sharpen up and if you are extremely picky like me it is a little frustrating.
Camcorders might be out of fashion but this one is amazing value, and the inbuilt gimbal does a fabulous job of stabilising the picture. Great image quality too. Recommended.
It's a pleasure to use this camera as it's always been the case with Sony cameras. My only complaint is the frame rate for 4K is set at 25fps. There's no 30p. The footage looks amazing regardless.
At present I cant find any faults regards using this. I use it for my family and outside interest
I've used Sony movie and DV cameras for over 40 years from Super 8 onwards, many in very demanding environments such as underwater housings and up ships and yacht masts dangling round my neck, none have ever failed.Never used eyepiece as spectacles get in the way.
Very nice camera. Superb quality and built strong.
The performance of the camera is very good, with excellent battery life. The overall package is let down by the lack of a viewfinder. This could be compensated for to some extent by having a brightness control of the viewing screen.
I bought this a month ago and was very pleased with its ease of use, picture quality and stabilisation features. Its only on a bright sunny day that I realosed the monitor was absolutely useless, and maybe I should have bought a camcorder with an optical viewfinder as well.
