The Sony FE 28mm f/2 is a compact wide angle lens for full-frame E-mount compatible Sony cameras that sports a fast f/2 maximum aperture, a dust and moisture resistant design and a linear motor for silent autofocus during video recording. In this review, we'll take a look at how it performs.
I bought this lens to use with my Sony Alpha a9. I needed something wide, prime, sharp, and light/compact for travels + run & gun shooting. I shoot fashion, beauty, and artistic portraits and this lens has been AWESOME for that.
I love the detail on this lens and taking some long exposure with an 8x ND filter the pictures came out great. My zeiss 35mm 1.4 is great but its huge. It's not great walking around with it. I found the color sharp and loads of detail using a full size sensor.
I use this lens on both the A7SII and the A6500. Works great on both. A great lens at a great price. I recommended it to any sony shooter.
This lens is very sharp at f/2.8 and still very good at f/2. This is my go to lens for both photography and video.

If you are like this focal length, then this is a must have lens for your Sony A7Rii. Personally, this is currently my default combo for travel and street. Image quality is amazing.
Fast aperture, fast autofocus and sharp images for 200 grams or so. It looks bigger on the pictures, but performs really well.I use it for video on my Sony A7S II and I call this the Low Light Combo Monster :)F2 is really good for shooting at night and I haven't had issues with autofocus speed...
