Good clarity, small and lightweight, relatively comfortable

Poor low-light performance
Can’t beat these binocs for the price. Lightweight good quality glass includes a nice case. Easy to carry and take up little space. The only complaint would be that they are a bit finicky with the inter pupil distance. It must be set just right to get a unified sight picture. Otherwise 5 stars

don't enhance light gathering, Sensitive to interpupil distance, Shaky image. Harness and strap coupling mechanism of poor design and quality!, None
During daylight hours every distance shines brightly in the Diamondbacks, but at close focus birds, butterflies and the world of insects are transmitted in simply astounding detail...
These things are great to have in the truck. They are fine for hunting in thicker terrain. At only 28mm's though that are not going to brighten up your view to better than the human eye like some of the larger lenses can. Really nice eye relief for eyeglass wearers!

don't enhance light gathering, Sensitive to interpupil distance, Shaky image. Harness and strap coupling mechanism of poor design and quality!, None
I spent way too much time fighting the straps and harness (I'm embarrassed to give the amount of time I spent on this). Harness coupling is of poor design requiring cutting straps, melting nylon strap and the use of forceps, scissors and knife.

I own several vortex products and these binos do not disappoint. Very clear and the compact size makes them perfect for carrying in the truck or camper. I will also carry these into the field while archery hunting less weight and less bulk.

Good Binoculars. Not great, not bad either.

slight glare, slight color fringing
I really enjoy these pocket binos in 8x28. They have a larger field of view than I expected but still smaller than compared to my Leupold BX-2 Alpine in 8x42 which are my primary general use pair for hunting, hiking, birding, etc. They feel very solid for the price.

Only recently have I added birdwatching to astronomy as a hobby, and partly thanks to the Diamondbacks it has come to fruition. The species on the heavily vegetated grounds of my apartment complex are wide and varied. These binoculars are perfect, at 8-power, to observe during daylight hours.
